1.1 Who are Consumer Intelligence?
We are an independent, Bristol-based company who benchmark the price and service performance of some of the UK’s leading companies. We rely on opinions and feedback from genuine consumers, and incentivise you for your help!

1.2 What do you do with my information?
We do not pass on your personal information to anyone outside of Consumer Intelligence. When you respond to polls and surveys or complete mystery shopping projects, we will use the information that you provide to help our clients. However, you will not be personally identifiable to them from the information that you provide.

1.3 How do I become a member?
To become a member of Consumer Intelligence, simply click on Join the team on the homepage. You’ll then be taken to a sign-up questionnaire where we’ll ask you some basic personal information, and also some questions that will determine your eligibility for upcoming surveys and mystery shopping exercises. Once you’ve completed the questionnaire, we’ll send you a verification email – you’ll need to click on the link provided to confirm your registration.

1.4 How do I edit my personal information?
Simply login via the homepage and click on ‘Edit Account’ link at the top of the page. You’ll be able to change both your personal information and the additional profiling information that you’ve provided us with.

1.5 What is a dead letterbox / mystery shopper address?
Some of the work that we carry out involves Consumer Intelligence needing to provide real names and addresses to insurance companies in order to get insurance quotes. If you are selected, you will earn £5.00 for letting us use your address for Mystery Shopping. You will receive no phone calls or emails from companies, no personal visits and, theoretically no mail. If you do get mail, just throw it in the bin!

2.1 How do I earn money?
Earning money is easy with Consumer Intelligence, and can be done in a variety of different ways. We send surveys and details of mystery shopping jobs by email, and run regular competitions on
MyConsumerIntel.co.uk, as well as via our Facebook and Twitter pages. You can also earn money for referring friends.

2.2 How much do you pay?
The value of the reward varies from project to project. Those completing surveys or mystery shopping jobs can expect to earn between £5 and £30 per project, depending on its complexity and how long it will take to complete.
Competition prizes tend to range from £5 to £100.
We also pay you for referring friends to Consumer Intelligence. You will receive £1 for every friend that you refer (up to a maximum of £1,000), and a further 10p for new members who were referred to the site by your friends.

2.3 How will I be paid?
For speed and security, all of our members are paid online via PayPal. If you do not currently have a PayPal account, it only takes a couple of minutes to set up and easy-to-follow instructions on how to do this are provided when you receive your first payment from us. For “refer a friend” payments, we wait until you have a minimum of £5 in your account before making this payment.
